The purpose of the Houston Psychological Association is to promote the development of psychology as a science and profession. Houston Psychological Association offers psychologists opportunities for professional growth and association with other psychologists. HPA serves to foster constructive relations with allied professionals and to promote ethical standards for psychological practice. HPA offers consumers an information and referral service to facilitate contact with qualified psychologists and a speakers bureau to address community concerns.
